Innovate HR Event Re-run: Keeping Up with Millennials

Companies nowadays are mostly dominated by passionate millennials. No wonder why HR practitioners are eager to learn more about them as made evident by the outcome of Innovate: Keeping Up with Millennials’ second run last June 8.

 

Over 50 attendees actively participated in the discussion with the three panelists including Ginger Palma Arboleda (CEO of Manila Workshops & COO of Taxumo), Cris Jose (Director for Operations at David IMC Group), and Sprout’s very own Laiden Padong (Head of People Operations at Sprout Solutions) who shared their insights about hiring, managing, and engaging millennials in the workplace.

Ginger started the discussion as she enumerates three general principles she practices when engaging the young people in her team. Cris supported her thoughts while emphasizing that respect is also a key whenever engaging with millennials. Afterwards, a discussion on the strong bias against millennials in the workplace was initiated by Laiden.

Subsequently, the panels shared their real life experiences working with millennials; giving some challenges they have encountered and how they responded to it.

Ending the discussion is the awarding of Innovate notepads and Sprout pens to the event early birds. Attendees also got to network with the panelists and their fellow participants over pizza and free-flowing drinks. Awesome way to conclude a night of learning!
